This collection includes digitized maps of the Santa Cruz region from the UCSC Library Map collection. Currently the site holds Sanborn Fire Insurance Company maps of the Santa Cruz area, historical maps created by the Standard Map Service, and the official map of Santa Cruz County from 1889, commonly referred to as the "Hatch Map" after its creator, Andrew Jackson Hatch. Many of the maps show information about streets, buildings, and physical features such as creeks. The Sanborn maps identify commercial businesses, and the Hatch and Standard Map Service maps show property owners.
Help us identify streets and buildings in the maps by adding comments and tags.
