On Campus FOR THE UC SANTA CRUZ COMMUNITY March 31, 1989 Parking and construction In coming months UCSC will be embarking on several major construction projects, according to Lou Fackler, associate vice chancellor for facilities, some of which will have an impact on parking. Construction of the campus's new 72,000-square-foot Science Library, to be built on the north side of Nat Sci 2, is scheduled to begin in mid-May, says Fackler. He adds that library construction will require the use of the nearby 82-space parking lot (Lot #121) as a staging area for the project. The lot will be closed temporarily beginning in mid-May, reducing parking for the science complex. Most of that lot will be reopened when the Science Library is completed in fall 1990.
