THE COLLEGE V FLYER Volume 4, number 6 "Those who do not remember the past are condemned to relive it. Heinrich Himmler November, 8, 1972 --- PRE-LAWYERS On Nov. 10, Mr. Lewis Mills from the Washington University School of Law will be on campus to discuss with interested students legal education and careers in law. Wash. Uni. School of Law is located in St. Louis, Missouri. Mr. Mills will be accepting 1/2 hour appointments from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the day of his visit. On Nov. 30, Dr. Thelton Henderson of the Stanford University School of Law will be interviewing students interested in attending Stanford Law School. Dr. Henderson will be meeting in small groups. Appointments will be arranged at hourly intervals with the hour from 10 to 11 reserved for minority students. Please call the Placement Center early for an appointment with either Mr. Mills or Dr. Henderson. November 15 and 16 there will be a pre-law convention at Berkeley. Law school admission officers from all over the United States will gather together to answer any questions concerning admissions, financial aid, curriculum, special problems, etc. Students will also have the chance of being personally interviewed. For further information contact: Ed Escobedo Grad. Opportunities Advisor EOP Office, X2296 or the Placement Center. --- "HEY THERE, MR. AND MRS. AMERICAN SHOPPER!!" The Kresge Food Coop is back in operation. Their order forms can be picked up in Kresge mail trailer on Wednesdays, and must be turned in with the money on Thursday night. Orders come in on the following Wednesday and can be picked up in D-2 about 3:00. If you have gripes,suggestions or questions, go to the Coop meeting Monday night. (Call Kresge office for place.) HURRAY FOR CHEAPER, BETTER FOOD!! --- The College V Theatre GUILD The College V Theatre Gild proudly an announces the opening of their new season with Matt Crowley's The Boys in the Band The production, which is being directed by Michael Quijada, runs from Nov. 16th through the 21st. Performances will be held at the UCSC Barn Theatre at 8:00 p.m. (with matinees Saturday and Sunday at 2:30). Tickets are available at the C & R Office or at the Plaza Bookstore. Prices: $1:50 general, $1 student. Be sure and get your ticket soon...because they are going fast. BANG, BANG. Feel like taking in a presidential assassination? All you have to do is sit there and...WITNESS! UCSC Barn Theatre, Nov. 9, 10, 12 at 8:00 and 10:00 p.m. --- Going to Deutschland? Is anyone interested in going to Germany to work, study, travel, or just to go? Let's get together and share ideas on saving money, getting jobs, places to stay, etc.; share your resources! Gail, B340, ex. 4131 FJORD FANATICS Interested in Scandinavian studies? Norway, Sweden, or Finland could be the site of more study for you. The Scandinavian Seminar is now accepting for it's yearly "class" of students who study in these countries under the program. For more information, see Bonnie in D-118. --- Buks...... The College V Library has a meager budget. We can stretch it if those of us who belong-- or whose parents belong--to a book of month club contribute "bonus coupons". With these we could aquire a decent 30 lb. unabridged at cheap rates. Anyone with contributions or suggestions please see the librarian on duty or C. Skillicorn. ---
